This is exactly the esports show not to miss at the RLCS 2025 Major 1 — in Birmingham, UK, the 16 best teams in the world should decide who is stronger of them all.

Energetic North America
Like in some other Rocket League regions, one team strongly dominated the competition in North America. NRG is formed with the players from G2 Stride, the previous NA Champions. They qualified for the RLCS 2025 Major 1 after two first Opens.
The second team in the region is The Ultimates. After finishing 5th-6th atOpen 1, the team achieved two confident second placements. They even eliminated NRG in Open 3.

Gen.G Mobil1 Racing boosted themselves to the Birmingham Major thanks to theirOpen 3victory. Complexity Gaming had stable performance even if not too prominent results in the qualifiers: 3rd-4th and 5th-6th.

World Champions across two EU teams
Europe is a realm of theRocket League World Champions 2024. They are not playing in one team, though. Team BDS quit the competition: two players and the coach are in Team Vitality, and one player is in Karmine Corp.
It was logical to expect these teams to battle for the top placement, and it was the case in the beginning. But the current Karmine Corp roster turned out to be too powerful for Team Vitality. KC won two first EU Opens to qualify for the Birmingham Major.

The biggest heroes of the RLCS 2025 Split 1 in Europe are Geekay Esports. They unexpectedly wonOpen 3and defeated all other top teams: Vitality, Dignitas, and Karmine Corp.

They won RLCS 2025 regional qualifiers to battle at the soon-coming Birmingham Major.
Furious secret of South America
FURIA Esports are pretty much uncontested champions of the South American Rocket League scene. They won all the RLCS 2025 SA Opens. Previous year, FURIA players were 5th-6th at the World Championship and at theRocket League Esports World Cup.
Team Secret is strongly second in the region. They could reach the grand final in Open 2 only because they faced FURIA one match earlier.

Falcons fly over the Middle East & North Africa
Team Falcons are among the best Rocket League esports players in the world, and it’s no surprise to see them dominating their regional competition. However, the Falcons have got nice opponents! Twisted Minds won Open 2. The current roster of Twisted Mind was formed in 2025.
Wildcards of Oceania, Asia-Pacific, and Sub-Saharan Africa
These regions have pretty dedicated communities, but they still should prove themselves internationally. Luminosity Gaming won all three Opens in Asia-Pacific. FUT Esports achieved the same, but the organization changed the name in the process: it was Maestros Del Esférico in Opens 1 and 2.
In Oceania, the Australian team Wildcard won two qualifiers and was second in Open 2. Helfie Chiefs had a shakier performance, but they still were ahead of the closest competitor by 5 points on the regional leaderboard.

Sure, Rocket League esports is wild and unpredictable. Geekay Esports in EU Open 3 proved that underdogs certainly can eliminate the favorites.
