The LCK will hold a special event for the new League of Legends season on Jan.y 10 with many pro players known by the public.
This year promises to be one of the most interesting League of Legends competitive years in history. To celebrate the entrance into thenew era, the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) circuit will hold a special and fun event with many pro players on Jan. 10. Check out the League of Legends 2025 Season 1: Welcome to Noxus event!

Team draft
For the LCK’s first event of 2025, the captains of each team were selected by player vote, ending with five teams for each position. Gen.G Kiin, HLEPeanut, T1Faker, T1 Gumayusi, and HLE Delight were the chosen captains.
The teams were selected by snake draft, which means each team has one pick per round, and the picks go in a specific predetermined order. After a round is over, the following round is the reverse order of the previous round. In theLCK event, every team is composed of five players from the same role.

League of Legends is entering 2025 with many changes. New season models, client changes, and rank resets are some of the upcoming updates.

The LCK 2025 is coming with very interesting transfers and changes on the teams. We’ll have a lot of fun watching League of Legens next year.

Tournament format
As for the tournament format, all of the teams will participate in a mini-game called “Physical 30,” which we don’t know the rules to yet. The winning team captain will decide the entire bracket. All of the matches will be best-of-one (Bo1) with the side selection being decided by the team with the higher finish in the mini-game.
Prize
The winning team of theLCK’s first event of 2025will choose 100 League of Legends skins per player (500 in total) to gift to fans. The MVP will gain a monetary prize of $1 million KRW.
