Looking for a solid Charizard deck build in Pokémon TCG Pocket?
Pokémon TCG Pocket has been all the rage these past few days after its release just last week. With people creating their own decks to battle with, we decided to put together a fresh Charizard deck build that you can battle with.

Pokémon TCG Pocket decks are made up of 20 cards, consisting of Pokémon and Trainer cards. Let’s break down the Charizard deck further.
Pokémon cards included
When formulating a Pokémon TCG Pocket deck, you obviously will need to have quite a few Pokémon cards. In this deck, we have included 15 Pokémon cards. However, the game only allows you to have two of each card, so formulating your deck comes with some precision.

Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard
First off, we included two Charmanders, two Charmeleons, and two Charizard EX cards. If you do not have Charizard EX cards, regular Charizard cards are okay, too.
To play a Charmeleon, you must first evolve one of your active or benched Charmanders. The same goes for playing Charizard: you must first evolve Charmeleon.
A Charizard-themed deck would obviously not be a Charizard deck without the legendary monster. The EX version of the card doing 200 damage per attack is what makes this Pokémon so strong.
Vulpix and Ninetales
The next set of evolution cards is two Vulpixes and two Ninetales. The entirety of the Charizard deck is centered around fire energies, so many of the cards in this deck will be fire-type.
While Vulpix is not the strongest Pokémon, its Ninetales evolution is a card many players will not want to deal with. The Pokémon’s Flamethrower attack does 90 damage, equal to the amount of HP Ninetails has too. Better yet, the move only requires two energies.
Eevee and Flareon
While Eevee is a Normal-type Pokémon, having two of the cards in your deck is essential to getting its evolution, Flareon, out on the field.
Not only is Flareon high in HP, but the card’s Flamethrower attack does 110 damage, which will take out all basic Pokémon in one hit.

Kangaskhan
When putting together a deck, it is important to include a few Normal-type Pokémon in case you go up against a deck with cards you are vulnerable to.
In our Charizard deck, we included a Kangaskhan. While this Pokémon is a basic one, it has 100 HP and its one attack, Dizzy Punch, only requires one energy to use.
Poké Ball
Our Charizard deck has five Trainer cards, two of them being Poké Ball. This card puts one random basic Pokémon from your deck into your hand.
Poké Ball tends to be quite useful in battles, especially in a deck that has many evolutions. Have Charmeleon and Charizard in your hand, but no Charmander? This card can help.
Professor’s Research
Professor’s Research is another Trainer card that allows you to draw two cards. It is important to have two of these in your deck, as it gives you more of a chance at pulling the cards needed for specific evolutions.
Giovanni
We have chosen to include one Giovanni in our Charizard-themed Pokémon TCG Pocket deck, as it is a useful but not entirely needed card. The Trainer card allows all attacks during one turn to do +10 damage to your opponent’s Active Pokémon.
This card could literally be your trump card for winning a battle.
