We now have buffs coming in after this week’s Roadhog rework, further amping up the massive tank’s ability to heal and stand in the box.
Well, that didn’t take long.Days after introducing the long-awaited rework of its most maligned tank, Roadhog, Blizzard has already pushed through buffs for the big boy. Hotfixed in late today, the Roadhog rework buffs look to increase his durability through number tweaks on his healing ability, Take A Breather.

Personally, I didn’t find that Take A Breather needed any buffs. But, I know when not to look a gift horse in the mouth, so you won’t see me begging any pardons. Let’s look at what Roadhog is getting out of the deal.

Take a Breather
As far as buffs go, it may seem minor from the outside. However, increasing the rate it takes for Roadhog to get the full charge of his heal back is no small change. Likewise, the damage reduction is now closer to its original number pre-Roadhog rework.
As per usual when it comes to the terminally online fans of Overwatch, there’s been myriad complaints about the rework. Everything from “why didn’t he get more new abilities?” to “Ugh, it’s just another trap” have filtered through the peanut gallery. Despite that, I’m here to say the rework is yet another success for the Hero Design team.

The biggest boi of Overwatch 2 has a new toy, as the Roadhog rework coming tomorrow with a new patch fixes the tank’s myriad issues.

Not only can Hog now take space more efficiently, but hold it as well. He’s an absolute threat up close and can single-handedly shut down dive on his lonesome. A team playing around his strengths is a true challenge to overcome.
We’ll see if there’s any more changes in-store, as Season 7 ends in 20 or so days.
