Big ones like Aria of Sorrow and Symphony of the Night
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:Castlevaniahas some of the best music in all of gaming.Lost Painting fromSymphony of the Nightis like my go-to thinking song, but so many other entries have tracks that are just as memorably haunting: even the originals!
Listening to that historic lineup just got a lot easier, as Konami is officially sharing a huge collection on Spotify.Announced by way of Twitter, Konami once again recognizes that this series exists in the form of a nostalgic release. For reference, you may also find that collection of 12 playlists here. While 12 may not seem like much, note that several of them are doubled up, likeCircle of the MoonandHarmony of Dissonance, for example.

Each playlist ranges from an hour to two and a half hours each, showcasing just how much music there is for this series. Even the lesser knownCastlevania Judgment(a Wii fighting game) has a soundtrack that’s over an hour long!
Most low key great song that’s probably too buried for most people to find? Vampire Killer / from Akumajo Dracula: a remake of the original iconicCastlevaniatrack forHarmony of Despair. In fact, I’m just going to use this opportunity to declareHarmony of Despairunderrated as a whole. It deserves a new lease on life on modern platforms and the soundtrack absolutely slaps. Make it happen Konami: you don’t even have to develop a brand new game!
