Rage of the Firelands arrives October 209, 2024. Are you ready to take the fight to Ragnaros?
Oct. 29 is a date many World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic players have been waiting on. The Rage of the Firelands officially goes live, with the Firelands raid opening the following week.
Based on the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm patch of the same name, Rage of the Firelands brings back theElemental Bonds questlineand adds in the new Elemental Rune Dungeons: Protocol Inferno difficulty. Then, one week later, players get to head into the Firelands themselves to face Ragnaros and his strongest minions.
High-definition textures
Rage of the Firelands also brings a huge update that allows players to turn on high-definition textures to add modern fidelity while keeping the World of Warcraft: Classic aesthetic.
Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest available
Casters — jump for joy as it’s your time to wield one of the most iconic legendary weapons in World of Warcraft. Rage of the Firelands gives warlocks, mages, priests, shamans, and druids the chance to start the quest chain to earnDragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest.

New raid: Firelands opens in November
Just one week after the Rage of the Firelands release, the iconic and fondly-remembered Firelands raid opens up. Upon entering the area, players will be introduced to the Avengers of Hyjal faction, with whom they can earn rep by killing trash and bosses inside of the raid. Firelands consists of seven bosses, all available on both normal and heroic difficulties.
Firelands also offers those players who love mounts two new ones!
