Irrational Games will compile internal and fan-made alternative covers
Despite novel, arresting box art being a rarity these days, the internetlashed out againstBioShock Infinite‘s decidedly safe and macho cover. Creative director Ken Levine heard the cries and decided to do something about it. Irrational Games will compile fan art and internal studio art on its website, so that fans can print out alternative covers that suit their preferences.
“The cover that you pick up off the shelf may not be your favorite cover in the universe, but hopefully that cover will help make this game successful, so we can keep making more of them and not compromise in anyway,” Levine said.
He also hinted at another gift he’d like to give fans but can’t currently discuss due to “production reasons.” A limited edition that comes with an anime Elizabeth pillow, perhaps? Hmmm?
