The Ember Juno Crowdfunding Bundle awarded $260,000 to the OWCS Champions Clash teams, but fans are calling for a higher share for the teams.
The crowdfunding for the Champions Clash 2025 prize pool has officially ended with $260,000 gathered to support the eight teams qualified for the tournament. This was made possible by fans who purchased the Ember Juno Crowdfunding Bundle, with 25% of each purchase going toward the prize pool. However, fans want to give more to the players.

Ember Juno Crowdfunding Bundle
The Overwatch Champions Series' (OWCS) Champions Clash, also referred to as the OWCS Hangzhou Major, ended on April 20. In total, the Ember Juno Crowdfunding Bundle gathered $260,000 for the tournament.Crazy Raccoonemerged as the champions and will receive the largest share of the prize pool, totaling $104,000.Team Falconswill take home $52,000 whileNTMRwill receive $26,000. The prize money will be distributed to the teams based on their performance in the tournament.
On April 22,NetEase announced new incentives to help the Chinese league in 2025. Under this initiative, each Chinese team that reached the top four at a live OWCS 2025 event would receive 200,000 RMB (approximately $27,500). Additionally, if a Chinese team won the main OWCS 2025 live tournament, they would be awarded 1,000,000 RMB instead, which is about $137,500 as of the time of publishing this article.
Although Once Again did not win first place, the team formed in 2024 was the only team to return home with more money than the value they earned from the tournament.

NetEase announced new incentives to support OWCS China, and Once Again players became the first to benefit from their strong performance.

Comments like those are multiplied under the post, with fans demanding a bigger percentage to help the teams and support Overwatch 2 esports. “It tastes like nothing,” another user wrote. Some people even suggest creating more of these skins throughout the year to help Overwatch 2 esports teams succeed in the industry.
