Levelling up the Trailblazer level will eventually make enemies tougher.
Along with individual character levels, Honkai: Star Rail features an overarching in-game levelling system. Trailblazer is the protagonist of the game, and is also where the name for the level system comes from.
Players can choose to be either male or female as Trailblazer in Honkai: Star Rail. Regardless of which you pick, you will still get the same rewards for each Trailblazer level.
Some part of Honkai: Star Rail are gatekept by the game. You need to be a certain Trailblazer level in order to progress through certain beats of the story. Trailblazer level is also attached to the ability to level up characters.
At certain levels, players will unlock the ability to make the characters in their part even stronger. Each character’s base level cap is 20 and that increases when you level up your Trailblazer level.

There are several different ways to progress Trailblazer level in Honkai: Star Rail. EXP is available in every aspect of the game, from completing regular missions to finishing Calyxes and entering the simulated universe.
Here are the different ways you can increase you Trailblazer level:
Trailblazer level rewards
There are 70 Trailblazer levels in Honkai: Star Rail. Each level comes with its own reward for levelling up. It can be easy to miss out on these rewards as they are not automatically handed out to players.
In order to get your rewards, you will have to visit Pom Pom on the Astral Express. Speak to Pom Pom and check your Trailblazer level. You can then cycle through all of the different levels of rewards.
Here’s a list of what you get for getting through the first 20 Trailblazer levels. Anything above level 20 is hidden until completing an upgrade mission. The same happens at level 30, 40, 50, 60 and 65.

The first 20 level rewards
Equilibrium missions
After reaching Trailblazer Level 20 in Honkai: Star Rail, players have to complete an upgrade mission in order to get themselves onto the next section of the Trailblazer journey. The rewards also scale as you get higher in the ranks.
