Still weirds me out

The teaser trailer forBasement Crawlwas unsettling, to put it mildly. And I’m none too pleased that I had to watch it a second time to refresh my memory. It was unclear how this story-centric video would apply to the gameplay itself, which is a competitive multiplayer experience not unlikeBomberman, but with traps and creepy clowns.

As we can now see in these first screenshots, the world ofBasement Crawland what you’ll be doing in said world are two very different things. Now, I’m not going to be too quick to judge based on still images alone, but I’m not feeling this. Bloober Team expects to have the game out on PlayStation 4 this year, which should mean footage isn’t far away. We’ll see.
