G2 Esports vs. T1 is your Grand Final of VALORANT Masters Bangkok, and we’ve got a recap of just how one team hoisted the trophy.
This is what we’ve all been waiting for. We got our look at the new Agent in the reveal and showmatch. We’ve seen an incredible first international tournament this year. And now, G2 Esports vs. T1 in the Grand Final of VALORANT Masters Bangkok finishes things off.

G2 comes from the upper bracket with a name to make for themselves. T1, on the other hand, have nothing to lose and everything to gain. This one should be as scrappy as it comes, and that’s why we’ve got the results and highlights for you below.
G2 vs. T1 - Who will make history?
G2 and T1 are both about vengeance at Masters Bangkok. The only seriesG2 has lost this year was against EDG, and they beat them to send them to the lower bracket. For T1, they’ve gotten revenge against DRX, Team Vitality,and EDG by eliminating all three.
Then comes the history to be made. G2 Esports can be the first VALORANT Champions Tour team that rose from Ascension to win a Masters tournament. As well, Jawgemo can become the second player to ever win both Masters and Champions.
T1 has yet to lift a trophy in this esport. If they do, they’ll add another notch in the win column for Pacific afterGen.G won Masters Shanghai last year. On that Gen.G team was Meteor, who now plays for T1 and has a chance to become the second two-time Masters winner for different organizations.

G2 vs. T1 - VALORANT Masters Bangkok Grand Final recap
When G2 Esports vs. T1 begins, read on for a recap of each map. We’ll brief you on what happened and provide clips to show you the action. We’ll update the recap and the scores at the top at the end of a game, at halftime, and at any overtime periods.
Map 1: Lotus
T1 takes the pistol on Lotus and gets the first round of the Grand Final. G2 responded by forcing a small buy during the next round.And it absolutely worked, catching T1 off guard. G2 maintained their lead witha clutch Guardian play by trentto get the Spike to detonate. Of course,a 4K from Meteorfollowed to keep T1 in it.
G2 retaliated with a Thrifty and leaf started shooting bodies. Here we go, folks! The teams battled back and forth, with no one gaining a clear upper hand. Finally, G2 picked up some steam and pushed for a halftime lead. They’d get itwith a 3K from leafduring a slow and methodical B Site hit.
After a 3K from valyn in the final round of the half, G2 looked to take map one after securing the second half pistol round.A 3K from Jawgemowith the Outlaw in his hands got G2 to 10 rounds on Lotus. Another 3K for G2came from leafto continue their trek to a map win.
G2 had no problem getting to map point after halftime. T1 was unable to put up any rounds, but they looked to change that with a timeout down 12:4. It helpedas BuZz got a 3Kand T1’s next round. That’s all they’d get as G2 closed it out immediately after to go up a map in this Grand Final.
Map 2: Haven
G2 continued their momentum into Haven, snagging the pistol round out from under T1. Next wasa Flawless to get things goingon T1’s map pick. T1 would steal away G2’s bonus, but at the cost of their economy. It felt like there was just nothing they could to cool G2 off.
Finally, they’d call a timeout andhold the line for another round. Another would come quickly with a snappy retake andiZu sticking the defuse. T1 would tie it up at four rounds a piece,from a huge play by Meteor. Soon after, they’d get a lead, but it was short lived and halftime approached with a tie.
T1 jumped back in the lead by winning their attacking pistol round. The next would go their way, buta 3K from valynshut down their hopes of converting their bonus.A 4K from trent tied itfor G2 as the team stuck the defuse amid a barrage of bullets and utility.
The response from T1 gave them another lead in this,as BuZz took down threeon A Site. T1 got the double digits right after, hoping to tie the series.A 3K clutch from iZukept T1 on their way to the finish line. And they’d get there, taking their first map in the series.

Map 3: Abyss
Onto map three, and T1 took another pistol round. A Flawless followed and they were off to a great start. Oh, and did we mentioned Meteor picked Reyna? He gota 3K early onto keep T1 ahead.Sylvan would clutch the next roundto prevent G2 from getting their first.
G2 could do absolutely nothing against the attack plan of T1.The Pacific league team went up 6:0. Finally,a 3K from JonahPgot G2 on the board. When T1 got seven, G2 got two. Thenthey’d get a third after a util-stacked pushonto A from T1. One more would go their way before halftime.
G2 got the second half pistol, hoping to close the gap quickly. T1 all jumped off the map in the next to give G2 their sixth. No bonus for G2, though, as T1 took it away. Double digits came for T1after a great retake of B Site.
An awesome Ace from Jawgemostopped a Thrifty from T1 to keep G2 fighting in this one. They refused to let them keep up any momentum from that, though, as T1 shut them down right after. Still,a 3K by trentkept G2 alive. Incredibly, they tied it up at 11. Give them a Flawless to hit map point, and boom, they take back the series lead.
Map 4: Split
Split began withT1 winning a drawn out pistol round. One more for them, but G2 got their first quickly by taking the bonus. They’d have no problem tying it and shutting down stax to take the lead.A 3K from valyncontinued G2’s push in the first half. That forced a T1 timeout.
It didn’t make a difference in the following round, though, as G2 netted their fifth round in a row. A 3K from valyn, again, and him sticking the defusewas another round for G2. After seven in a row by G2, T1 finally got another. Theman insane Ace clutch by Meteorgot his team four.
T1 would look to fight back into this one with a second half pistol round. They’d bring it within two very soon. And even sooner,they would tie things up at eight rounds a piece. A3K from Meteor in a Flawless roundput them in the lead.
In the next round, they’d reach 10 and look primed to force Map 5 on Pearl. G2 wasn’t dead yet, though. They stopped an A Site retake to get to nine. Jawgemo tied it at 10with another clutch play, taking down four total in the round.Three Judge kills from Sylvankept it tied at 11 now. Better weaponry got T1 to map point, but G2 responded well and took us to overtime!
Jawgemo snagged three simple kills in the first round of overtime to take his team to series point. Just one more round is all they needed to claim the trophy of Masters Bangkok. G2 vs. T1 would not end there, though,as T1 tied it once more to extend OT.
A quick hit on A Site punished an unexpecting G2 and T1 would get themselves to map point. A fight at mid would see G2 lose Jawgemo, then leaf fell near A Ramp. G2 would rotate over to B, but T1 was ready for them and to map five we go!
Map 5: Pearl
The first round of Pearl went in T1’s favor. A quick round followed to get them to two.A demoralizing defuse came infrom T1 to stop G2 from taking their bonus round. That looked to have G2 frazzled, as they called a timeout when T1 went up 4:0. G2 would get one to T1’s fivefrom a sick Neon play, butclutched up from a valyn 4K.
G2 would get three, then four, andstop just short from tying it up. T1 had no problem stopping the G2 attack strategy. They’d retake, hold site, or just overall prevent them from getting there at all. And that puts them up at the half in this final map of the Grand Final.
Trent got a Shock Dart kill to open up the second half and the Flawless round got G2 their fifth of the map. They would get one more, but the anti-bonus start from T1 went their way to reach nine. Round seven was theirs with a nice retake, and this thing was still up in the air.
A 3K from Jawgemostopped a T1 Thriftyand put G2 within a round. T1 would use lots of utility and an Ultimate to get the Spike down on B, but G2 was waiting and tied things at nine.A sneaky 2K by JonahPset G2 up nicely to take the lead.T1 got a very close clutchto let the Spike detonate. Close round after close round saw T1 push it to another overtime!
Incredibly, T1 startled G2 on A Site, but Jawgemo would take the Spike to B.A Shock Dart kill got them the defuseand series point. It wasn’t over yet, though!Trent saved JonahP’s life over at Band G2 held it down on the A rotation to tie it.
T1 wasted no time in getting back to championship point as the defending team. They shut down a push onto A Siteand hit 14 rounds. A clutch chance for the win would fail for stax and the overtime period would continue.
A 3K for JonahP was looking good for G2,but he was shut down and T1 went ahead one more time. And T1 would get the Spike down, hold their ground, and push G2 in a runners-up position as they take the trophy at Masters Bangkok.
