The Pokémon GO Egg hatching widget sometimes has bonuses associated with it during special events. The upcoming Scorching Steps event will feature bonuses for using the Egg Hatching Widget.
During this event, taking place between June 21 and June 25, Trainers will get 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance for their first three Eggs they hatch via the widget.
That means you could hatch three 12km Eggs in just 3km, a huge bonus. This makes it a great time to add the Egg Hatching widget to your phone!
