As part of the DLC content forDisney Dreamlight Valley:A Rift in Time, you’ll unlock the ability to craft and use items called Ancient Machines. These machines unlock after you upgrade yourRoyal Hourglassto level one and they each come with a very helpful use.
There are three types of Ancient Machine which can be crafted at a Timebending Table, using items gathered through Timebending on either Eternity Isle itself or in the Valley. It might take a while to find these items as they are pretty rare, but they’re worth the hunt in order to craft Ancient Machines and make your daily in-game life a little easier.

Each Ancient Machine has three available versions which become available as you upgrade your Hourglass to level 2 and 3. However, it’s worth remembering that upgraded versions cannot be crafted without the previous version as an ingredient to their recipe, so you can’t skip to the best version.
Ancient Gardener
The Ancient Gardener can be used to automate thefarming process, leaving you much more free time to do other things. This machine is capable of planting, watering and even gathering your crops when they’re ready.
You can have four working Ancient Gardeners in a biome and any further Ancient Gardeners cannot be used, so it’s worth paying attention to what crops you want to use this Machine for. As you unlock improved versions, the area covered by the Ancient Gardener becomes larger.

Here’s what you’ll need for each upgraded version of the Ancient Gardener, as well as what the upgrade offers:
Ancient Cooker
The Ancient Cooker provides you with the ability to batch cook large numbers of the samedish, lessening your time spent slaving over a hot stove. It can be placed anywhere on either Eternity Isle or in the Valley.
To use the Ancient Cooker, interact with it and you’ll be asked to select your ingredients, as well as the number of dishes you’d like to create, either by placing the ingredients yourself or by using the Recipe Book. Each dish costs 25 Mist, so make sure you have enough before you begin to cook.

Here’s the details for all upgrades to the Ancient Cooker:
Ancient Vacuum
Perhaps the most appealing of these Machines, the Ancient Vacuum will suck up all of the foragables from an entire biome for a cost of Mist.
To use the Ancient Vacuum, place it down within a biome and then interact with it to be shown a list of items which can be collected, along with how much Mist it’s going to cost. Sadly, I’d already collected everything before placing mine down.

Each upgrade to the Ancient Vacuum will allow you to automatically gather a wider variety of items. Here’s what you’ll need for each upgrade:
