There are plenty of hidden secrets and routes inDeltarune’s Chapters, including the elusive Egg key items found in each part of the story. With the release of Chapters 3 and 4 with the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, you may get two more Eggs by exploring each new area. However, the Egg in Chapter 3 is particularly difficult to find, requiring you to complete specific actions.

Some hidden content inevery Chapter ofDeltaruneis locked behind dialogue options you make to determine a route. For example, in Chapter 2, you could make a series of decisions that lead into a much darker path of the story, which fans have dubbed"Snowgrave.“Although getting the Egg in Chapter 3 doesn’t require any route-changing options, the dialogue choices you pick are crucial for receiving the key item.

How To Find The Egg In Chapter 3

Unlock A Hidden Door And Interact With Several Mini-Games

To start looking for the Egg in Chapter 3, head to the TV World where you and your allies walk through an area filled with TV screens. Here, solve the quizzes on the screens in TV Worldto open up a secret door near the bottom left of this area. Keep going right in this space past a massive chest and"Choco"container to trigger a cutscene where Tenna appears.

After this, you can keep traveling right in this secret area to reveal a"suspicious drawer"you can interact with. Choose the"Yes"prompt to open the drawer, revealing an item you need to pick up after another short cutscene. Once you have the blue item that dropped from the drawer, go back in the TV World to the area where you play a mini-game to the very far left of the TV World region.

In the mini-game area, you should see a large TV, where you’re able to control a miniature version of your party characters in an ambiguous game. Use Lancer to solve the puzzle in this space to reveal a blue box dropped into the game. From here, play as Susie in the block mini-game and have her throw the blue box across the river, where there is a single space between multiple bushes.

Watch out for dangerous enemies while looking for the Egg in Chapter 3, as each secret area holds many foes that are difficult to take down. While you won’t find asecretDeltarunebosshere, you could still lose fights if you lack enough supplies.

Doing this completes the game, allowing you to continue progressing through the TV World normally. Eventually, you’ll run into a path with a spotlight, which triggers a guard to appear if you and your party get spotted. Youneed to get spotted by the guard, then respond to their dialogue in the right way. Follow these steps to answer the guard correctly:

With this dialogue, the guard will take your party to a new area, where you cango right to find another mini-gamesimilar to the first. The blue box you had mini-game Susie throw across the river should be visible on the screen, allowing you to take the next steps.Using Kris as your character this time, push the box onto a pressure plate to create a bridge across some water, then move to step onto a pink button.

Pressing the pink button opens a new path to the right, where you can enter a room with a much larger TV screen and an old man NPC you haven’t met before.Go into the new game and speak to the old manmultiple timesto unlock unique dialogue with the character. The old man will tell you to go into the next room to your right within the game, which unlocks a kitchen you can walk into.

After exploring the kitchen room somewhat in the game, head back to the old man, where you should see a wardrobe in the first room as a new object.Investigate the wardrobe, then talk to the old man again multiple times in and out of the game, exhausting his dialogue in both places. Eventually, the old man will tell you that"you had the ticket on you this whole time,“unlocking the next part of this process.

From here, follow the path returning to the first mini-game room, then stop in the area full of garbage cans. This is the section of the TV World where you will find the Egg, but only when you start fighting a group of frogs that spill out from one of the trash cans in the room as you explore it.

Dialogue Options For The Chapter 3 Egg

Similar tobeating secret bosses inDeltarune, youhave to Act instead of Fight against the frogswho appear to fight in the trash can room. When you pick Act, you’re able to select any of the Ribbik enemies, thenhover over the Ralsei option labeled"CroakOnX.“At this point, you can move your heart icon to the left of the screen, removing it entirely from the action bar to"escape"the fight.

Do not press any of the combat options from the"Act"menu while facing the Ribbik enemies. Defeating the Ribbiks through Act or Fight options will cause the combat to end, preventing you from collecting the Chapter 3 Egg.

Escaping the Ribbik battle transports you to another area, the Forgotten Isle.Explore the Forgotten Isle to find a large tree, then speak to an NPC behind itto start a chain of important dialogue options. After the initial phrase,“Spring changes to summer, and summer changed to cold,“you have to pick these dialogue prompts:

“Will you forget me, too?”

“I ask again, will you forget me?”

No

“Once upon a time, the whole world looked like this. Do you think so?”

“Do you understand what I am saying?”

“Did you want to meet again?”

“Did you remember to write it down?”

Yes

Picking all these options will reward you with the Egg, which can be stored and used until Chapter 4. There don’t seem to be any effects related to the Egg as of this time of writing, but this extremely rare collectible might have a very important meaning when future Chapters get released forDeltarunein the future.
