How to lockpick chests and doors in Oblivion Remastered
When a chest or door is open, you can simply interact with it and it will open up. Then you can enter the building or take the contents from within. If its locked, though, you’ll need to use a lockpick and complete the minigame to gain entry.
Before you interact with the locked object, it will inform you that it is locked and it will tell you the difficulty of the lockpick minigame inOblivion Remastered. The first time you try, the tutorial message appears.

Basically, there are multiple slots with different tumblers. You’ll need to move from slot to slot, pushing the tumblers up with your lockpick. When it reaches the top, listen for a specific sound and press the confirm button to successfully pick that tumbler.
Get all of them locked in place and you’ll be able to enter the restricted area or gather the items from the enclosed container. This is all about timing, so a good tip is to take it easy and only pick locks you know won’t be interrupted by an enemy or where you won’t get caught by the owner.
