It’s pretty hard being a Western tokusatsu fan. While there are now multiple legal ways of streaming anime outside of Japan, there’s still no way to get legal versions of tokusatsu series likeSuper Sentai(of which Saban’sPower Rangersis based) andKamen Rider.Because of this, it’s even more unlikely we’ll ever get any of the games based on their properties.
Having to import one of theKamen Ridermusou games did hurt my heart and wallet, and it looks like I’ll be doing that again withKamen Rider: Climax Fighters.Releasing on PS4 in Japan December 7, the game is some kind of four player arena fighter. There’ll be more details and a full trailer revealed soon, but I’m interested in the new marquee Rider,Kamen Rider Build, because of his slick design that totally looks likeKamen Rider W.
