A new game, eh
Konami has been playing it low-key ever since the handling of Hideo Kojima andPTset them back decades, mostly content with dropping somecompilations of their golden years; or the occasional new game likeSuper Bomberman R. While their 2022 lineup for the Tokyo Game Show likely won’t excite anyone on paper, an ominous 2022 Konami TGS tease might.
The publisher has revealed its TGS 2022 lineup, and it sure looks likea lineup. Amid several new entries in its string of sports titles, we’ll also get to see more ofSuper Bomberman R,as well asfourYu-Gi-Ohgames,which are currently helping to keep Konami afloat in their games department.
But the main thing to keep an eye on (spotted by Gematsu) is a similarly low-key tease for a “new title” from a “world-loved series.”
When is the 2022 Konami TGS tease announcement happening?
To be clear, and I’m going to put this in neon letters (so to speak):the new Konami title announcement will take place from 15:30 to 16:15 JST on September 16.Konami has revealed that voice actor Yuki Kaji (Hope Estheim, Eren Yeager) will be present as a “guest.”
