LOUD won Esports Team of the Year at the 2022 Esports Awards! The team claimed victory over other nominees such as FaZe Clan, OpTic Gaming and even T1.
LOUD wins Esports Team of the Year
On top of earning the trophy at the Esports Awards 2022 show, LOUD also boasted another big win this year. The team’s players became the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) winners after duking it out against OpTic Gaming in the grand final. With a score of 3-1, LOUD made esports history on the international stage!
Who won VCT 2022?
VCT 2022 took place in Istanbul, Turkey, and LOUD’s battle in the final match involved a couple of maps that went into overtime. After knocking downOpTic Gaming, LOUD won a whopping $300,000. The VCT 2022 victory also meant that LOUD became the first Brazilian team to win a tournament of this caliber.
Earlier this year, LOUD also earned the silver at the Masters Reykjavik 2022 tournament. OpTic Gaming won Masters Reykjavik 2022, but LOUD persisted and reached the very top when the two teams faced each other again in the VCT 2022 Grand Finals.
Adding to the list of brilliant achievements, the LOUD versus OpTic Gaming battle during the VCT 2022 Grand Finals set a viewership record! The match drew over1.5 million viewers across all platforms, with Twitch getting a significant portion of viewers.
