Learn how the Marvel Rivals rank reset will affect your Competitive ranking.
Marvel Rivals partially resets your competitive rank twice each season. Here’s how rank resets work in Marvel Rivals.

Rank calibration is a standard practice across online games for several reasons. It prevents smurfs at the beginning, it tests whether the top players from the previous season are still good in the new meta, and allows everyone to start with a clean record.

How the Marvel Rivals rank reset works
From Season 0 heading into Season 1, all players will drop seven divisions based on their standing at the end of the season.
Right before thesecond half of Marvel Rivals Season 1is scheduled to go live, thedevelopers announced a change. Heading into a new Season (e.g. S1 to S2), players will drop six divisions.

Going into the second half of a Season (e.g. S1 first half to S1 second half) was meant to be a drop of four divisions. However the Marvel Rivals devs rescinded it a day after this announcement. They cited the pressure to play competitive may make it less enjoyable for players, and thus decided to remove the mid-season rank reset completely.
The devs noted that they may tune the rank reset if they deem it necessary.
