UPDATE:In response to community outrage regarding a mid-season rank reset, Marvel Rivals has reverted their plans. There will be no reset, but a set of new ranked rewards will still be available at the second half of the season.

The first official season of Marvel Rivals is rolling along. We were given Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman, along with new maps, modes, and other content. And now we know that Marvel Rivals Season 1’s second half brings The Thing, Human Torch, and an interesting rank reset.

When is the second half of Marvel Rivals Season 1?
It is confirmed that Marvel Rivals Season 1 enters its second half on June 01, 2025. The start time is 8 a.m. UTC, which translates to 12 a.m. PST.
You’ll be able to download the update, dive right in, andget a look at your ranked rewardsas they’ll be locked for the first half at that time.

The Thing, Human Torch, and another rank reset to arrive
The team has determined that a player’s first half rank is indicative of their skill set throughout a season. Therefore, ranks are locked when the second half of Marvel Rivals Season 1 begins.
Don’t worry, you get all of your rewards and get to try again for another set. This will happen for all futures season, withopening ranks now dropping by six divisionsand second half rank resets dropping you down four.
A new costume reward and Crests of Honor arrive with the second half rank reset. As well, expect a change in the meta as The Thing and Human Torch of theFantastic Four join the roster. That’s all we know, however, with no abilities or other details delivered just yet.
