Overwatch 2 is supporting an LGBTQIA+ organization by teaming up with Twitch Rivals. The upcoming Overwatch 2 Pride Celebration will feature a $250,000 prize pool in support of The Trevor Project organization.
Where to Watch the Overwatch 2 Pride Celebration
The Twitch Rivals Overwatch 2 Pride Celebration will kick off on July 12 and run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. PDT. A total of eight teams will be split into two groups for the Group Stage. This will be followed by the Bracket Stage.
During the Group Stage, the teams will play everyone in their respective section once on the control map. The two teams in each group with the best score will earn a place in the Bracket Stage. As for the bottom two teams, they will duke it out against each other in a consolation bracket.
The Bracket Stage will showcase the push, hybrid and escort maps. There will also be best-of-three and single-elimination matches. According to Blizzard Entertainment’sannouncement, the winning teams will head to the finals, and the two losing teams will fight for the bronze.
Overwatch 2 will replace the original game after October 4 launch
All in-game currencies and MMR will transfer to Overwatch 2. However, OW2 will also feature a new currency which will be the primary currency of the new game.
