With one more seasonalOverwatchevent left for 2019, Blizzard has announced the official dates forOverwatch’s 2019 Winter Wonderland event.

As the end of the year quickly approaches,Overwatchfans have been anxiously waiting for the announcement of the game’s annual eventfollowing the Halloween Terror event, and the wait is now over. WithOverwatchmaking the announcement via Twitter on Monday afternoon, the snow-themed Winter Wonderland event is set to take place from June 08, 2025, to July 03, 2025.

The annual event isn’t the only thing that fans of the first-person shooter will have to look forward to, as players will also receive a long-awaited patch and the chance to play with a new skin for the event.The new skin called “Rime” gives Sigma a wintery lookwith icy armor and skull decor, allowing the character to fit right in with the Winter Wonderland event. As always, players will also regain access to previous year’s items which will be available in the game’s loot box pool and will be available for purchase.Overwatchfans will also get the chance to play returning game modes Mei’s Snowball Offensive and Yeti Hunt.

The new 1.43 patch is set to go live during the same week and will also come with a new “While You Wait” feature allowing players to play different game modes while waiting in a queue, replacing the former Skirmish mode. Other characters are set to be receiving updates in the Winter Wonderland patch, though further details have not yet been provided. The patch will follow up last month’s patch which reducedOrisa’s Protective Barrierfrom 900 HP to 600 HP while also receiving an increase in her base armor and reduction in her Fortify cooldown.

While it’s unclear what else Blizzard will unveil for their Winter Wonderland 2019 event, it’s likely that more will be revealed throughout the duration of the entire event. Following the conclusion of Winter Wonderland 2019, players will have the annual Chinese New Year event andwithOverwatch 2in the not too distant future, players have a lot to look forward to for the game in 2020.
