Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has commanded an incredible level of popularity over the years, making him a veteran powerhouse in theYouTubefield. Since 2010, he’s taken hisYouTubecareer in a wide variety of directions, some of these avenues more controversial than others. Now, PewDiePie has reported in a recent video that he got a police visit after buying a certain item off Wish.
Wish is an online retailer that offers a wide array of items in its digital storefront, although not all items will necessarily be as advertised when they arrive. Aftertaking a break from YouTubein January, PewDiePie returned with a 16-minute-long video titled “I bought forbidden Wish Items (Cops Came To My House Big Oopsie).”

In the video, PewDiePie shares an anecdote connected to this recent Wish haul and his affinity for balisongs–also known as butterfly knives. For context, PewDiePie has often been caught playing around with a balisong on stream as an improvised fidget toy. This is far fromPewDiePie’s most controversial decision, but it may have gotten him attention from law enforcement after he decided to buy another balisong off Wish. At least one forbidden Wish item mentioned in the title of his recent video refers to this balisong, which he does appear to have successfully purchased.
He concluded the segment by stating that the whole ordeal left him stressed out. As a result, the incredibly successful YouTuberwent back to Wish and bought several other fidget toys that feature fewer sharp edges. It appears that he ended up with a pretty substantial Wish haul, even if he was unable to purchase the balisong he actually wanted. He also went out of his way to warn his viewers against purchasing a balisong for themselves, less because of the potential danger and more because of the potential for the police to show up at the house of someone who isn’t a wealthyYouTuber.
