This Special Research is designed to ease you into the new Dynamax Pokémon mechanic that is releasing duringPokémon GO Max Out.This will let you get your firstMax Particles, visitPower Spotsand encounter your first Dynamax Pokémon.
Pokémon GO: To the Max! Special Research
This Special Research will be avaliable to Trainers once Power Spots begin appearing in their area. This is happening at around 12pm, June 08, 2025. Some Trainers have reported this happening a little bit later, so be patient. You’ll need to restart your game to see the rollout.

What are Power Spots in Pokémon GO?
Power Spots are appearing all over the map in Pokémon GO, but what are they?
The main reward for completing this Research is getting a Dynamax Wooloo. There are currently no Max Battles in the game, so this is the only way to get a Dynamax Pokémon at the moment. Excitingly, it can also be Shiny. The odds are the standard 1/512, so you’d have to get very lucky, but it is possible.
