Pokemon GOplayers love to hunt down shiny creatures and Niantic has been pretty great about adding the special variants at a speedy rate. Thenew Hatchathon eventbrings some new evolutions to the table, which means that a few pre-existing shiny creatures now have a new form to take on.

Although thePokemon GOHatchathon event is only adding one new shiny family, there are still five other existing shiny families that now have a new evolution to unlock. As if the new Pokedex entries wasn’t exciting enough, that means there are a handful of brand new shiny monsters to add to the collection, as well.

Here’s a look at all of the new shiny variants (alongside their previous Gen families)…

The Elekid family is the only family that is brand new to the shiny party, so players may already have shiny versions of the others ready to evolve once theyobtain the Sinnoh stone. To help collect the new shiny variants, players should attempt to hatch as many 2km Eggs as possible during the current Hatchathon event. Be sure to haveAdventure Sync enabledso you don’t miss out on credit for any steps.

Collecting shiny Pokemon doesn’t give the trainer any kind of advantage in battle, but it is still a fun additional challenge to add into the game. Shiny Pokemon are perfect for leaving in Gyms to show off to the rest of the community.

Be sure to check back later this week for plenty ofPokemon GOandPokemon Let’s Goguides and news as the Switch game launches and the mobile game’s event continues. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
