Bandai Namcohas announcedthatSand Land, based on the manga by Akira Toriyama, is set to release on Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC on April 26.
Alongside the release date announcement, Bandai Namco has released a new trailer showcasing the game’s environments and various vehicles. Itlooks fantastic to me. I know next to nothing about the manga, but I’ve been in love with post-apocalyptic vehicular combat since basically forever. However, it was pushed into overdrive after I discovered theMetal Maxseries.
Set in a world ravaged by war and environmental disasters,Sand Landstars Beelzebub, the Thief, and Sheriff Rao as they explore the desert. It’s an action RPG with a heavy focus on customizable vehicles. These range everywhere from tanks, to bikes, to mechs.
I’m not sure how this will shake out, but I’m hoping for something somewhere betweenMetal MaxandDragon Quest.As far as we’ve seen, things look promising.
