Rockstar Games has crafted a gigantic world forRed Dead Redemption 2, and it’s full of countless people all trying to survive from one day to the next. Players who’ve followed the citizens ofRed Dead Redemption 2typically come back with interesting stories, so YouTube channel DefendTheHouse followed 3 different citizens for an entire day to see what happened.
The YouTube channel selected 3 non-playable characters from the Valentine area who all looked like hard laborers rather than criminals. As the video below shows, the life of an average settler inRed Dead Redemptionrevolves around getting up early, working till the sun drops from the sky, and heading to the saloon to buy some drinks and relax. Each of the featured citizens had drastically different living conditions, with one of them apparently passing out on a saloon table each night.

Of course, it’s safe to say that citizens do more than drink and work, too; many gamers have caught NPCs hunting, fishing, and committing various crimes. Citizens are capable of accidentally discharging their firearms and getting into brawls, so even if Arthur is on his best behavior he’s liable to walk straight into trouble. Even the wildlife ofRed Dead Redemption 2goes hunting, with packs of wolves surrounding their prey and birds circling carrion. It’s thebiggest world ever createdby Rockstar Games, and the landscapes within it are truly alive.
Players who want to enter a world that’s populated by other humans won’t have much longer to wait, as Take-Two has narrowed down theRed Dead Onlinebeta release to the end of November. If it’s anything like the launch of GTA Online, players should expect the servers to be under heavy strain as thousands of friends attempt to posse up at the same time. One thing is certain, though: the typical day inRed Dead Onlinewill involve a lot more than haystacks and harmonica.
Red Dead Redemption 2is now available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
