Team Peterbot won a narrow race to the finish at FNCS Major 2!
The unprecedented run of dominance by professional Fortnite player Peter “Peterbot” Kata added another chapter last night with a Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) Major 2 victory. While this contest was closer than previous victories, Peterbot has continued to make his case for being the greatest of all time.
Peterbot achieved his fifth major victory alongside standout teammates Joshua “Cold” Butler and Maguire “Ritual” Morton. Although it was a photo finish, Peterbot, Cold, and Ritual will enjoy another season atop the NA Central region.
How Peterbot, Cold, and Ritual won FNCS Major 2 2025
Peterbot, Cold, and Ritual held the lead after day one, earning 462 points across the opening six games. That effort included one Victory Royale and a staggering 52 eliminations—the most of any trio on day one. However, behind them at 411 points were their rival trio ofClix, Higgs, and Eomzo.
Day two delivered on all expectations with a competitive tournament down to the end. These two trios went head-to-head across the final six matches. Clix’s trio finished the day with one Victory Royale and 50 eliminations, highlighted by an incredible game ten clutchto keep the leaderboard close.
However, it all came down to the final match of FNCS Major 2, and the highly anticipated Peterbot vs. Clix showdown did not disappoint. The two trios engaged in a brief battle in the 12th match, but neither fully committed to the encounter.
After separating, Peterbot’s trio fell in 20th place with zero points accumulated, while Clix’s trio fought another team in the storm. Ultimately, a crucial mistake by Higgs, who failed to keep Clix alive while knocked, spelled the end of their run.
Clix and company bowed out of the 12th game in 19th place, earning six eliminations. The overall point accumulation left Team Clix with 831 points and Team Peterbot with 842 in FNCS Major 2—an 11-point margin of victory.

The path to victory for Peterbot, Cold, and Ritual was somewhat unconventional compared to previous seasons. FollowingFNCS Major 1, Peterbot and Cold desired to replace Ritual with Peterbot’s former duo partner and 2024 Global Champion, Miguel “Pollo” Moreno.
However, that would have required Pollo’s teammates, Aidan “Ajerss” Bernero and Abdullah “Acorn” Akhra, to sign a disbandment form. Ultimately, all six players involved did not agree to those stipulations, meaning both Trios would stick.
While not the outcome Peterbot wanted, it didn’t matter as he, Cold, and Ritual rose to the occasion and reclaimed their spot atop Fortnite’s NA Central region. The trio earned $60K each and will look to repeat the same performance in Major 3.

The ‘greatest of all time’ (GOAT) conversation will naturally surface as he continues to grow his legacy, but where does Peterbot fall?
It’s becoming more and more difficult to argue that any player across the history of Fortnite has a more impressive track record. He’s done it three times in duos, once in trios, and on the world’s stage at the2024 FNCS Global Championship.
Peterbot has easily earned his position amongst Fortnite’s best, alongside Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf and Tai “TaySon” Starčič. In fact, he might be the best of the bunch, and he’s not even close to finished.
