FromSoftwarehas undoubtedly opened a new realm in their Soulsbourne universe withElden Ringas it features a sophisticated storyline full of gods, legends, and ill-omened creatures. In fact, some players have already created a detailed thematic chart that groups every boss into their respective “category,” from Voids to Erdtree Avatars.
And one aspect ofElden Ringbosses that’s quite different from its predecessors is that of Remembrances, which is an item that players can give to Finger Reader Enia and, in exchange, receive a powerful weapon. But, with so many main bosses inElden Ring, players should carefully consider which weapon to wield.
Updated on July 04, 2025, by Nahda Nabiilah:Unlike normal methods where players get a powerful weapon by progressing through a tough legacy dungeon or solving a tricky cave in Elden Ring, Tarnished may also obtain some great weapons by defeating certain bosses. In the Lands Between, these powerful bosses are known as the Shardbearers, and they are all children of Marika, Radagon, and Rennala. In the Shadow Lands, on the other hand, the remembrance weapons are rewarded once you defeat powerful bosses found at the end of their legacy dungeon.
Unique Weapon Skill:
I Command Thee, Kneel!
The Greataxe once belonged to Godrick the Grafted, and it was used to fight off Tarnished that dared to enter Stormveil Castle.Axe of Godrickrequires 34 Strength and 22 Dexterity which may be difficult for early-game players. Moreover, should anyone decide to wield it, they will gain the special skill of I Command Thee, Kneel! This allows players to smash the Axe of Godrick into the ground, causing massive consecutive shockwaves that deal heavy damage. The Ash of War is especially effective against a large group of enemies.
Surprisingly, such a heavy attack only consumes 15 FP which gives Tarnished the opportunity tocontinuously use the Greataxe inElden Ring. As for scaling, Axe Of Godrick will obviously scale with Strength and Dexterity to reach a decent C once the weapon is +10.
22Remembrance of Hoarah Loux - Axe of Godfrey
TheAxe of Godfreybelongs to Godfrey, First Elden Lord, and he uses it to fight during the first phase of the fight. It’s considereda Colossal weapon inElden Ringso it’s not a surprise that the axe calls for a whopping 42 Strength and 14 Dexterity. Luckily, it is a late-game weapon, so players should already possess such stats if they chose a Melee build. It’s also possible to respec at Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon.
The unique weapon Skill, Regal Roar, will buff players’ attack powers, and it lasts for 40 seconds. The Colossal weapon mainly scales with Strength as Dexterity remains a D upon leveling up the Axe of Godfrey to the max. The Ash of War will also unleash a shockwave that pierces through enemies’ defense, leaving them vulnerable for a few seconds.
21Remembrance of the Rot Goddess - Hand of Malenia
It’s no surprise that Melania’s signature weapon,Hand of Malenia, is considered one ofElden Ring’sbest remembrance weaponssince the gaming community regardsMalenia as one of the most challenging bosses in the game. While the stats of this Katana aren’t the most mind-blowing inElden Ring, its unique weapon skill makes it extraordinary.
That’s because Waterfowl Dance unleashes a powerful burst of strikes that inflicts Blood Loss (50). On top of that, it only costs 12 FP to use, which means players can spam it against bosses or enemy players.
Destined Death
Gamers that enjoy using Colossal weapons will be happy to know that one of thebest remembrance weapons in Elden Ringis a Colossal Sword,Maliketh’s Black Blade. However, unlike other Strength-type weapons (whichElden Ringhas plenty of), this remembrance weapon also scales with Faith.
Its unique weapon skill is also quite helpful to use in PVP since it unleashes a trail of Black Flame that reduces Max HP by 10% for 15 seconds. This can be deadly for some players, particularly those who primarily use Int or Faith.
19Elden Remembrance - Marika’s Hammer
Even though this Remembrance weapon is locked behind the final boss ofElden Ring,Elden Beast, it deserves a place as one ofElden Ring’sbest remembrance items since it has a powerful unique weapon skill, “Gold Breaker.” This weapon skill is a powerful AOE ground slam covering a large area (some players say as large as a Lesser Runebear), making it the perfect weapon to farm Runes.
Moreover,Marika’s Hammerisone of the few hammers inElden Ringthat scales with Arcane. The only downside of Marika’s Hammer is that it mainly deals Holy Damage, which some enemies and bosses are immune to.
18Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen - Carian Regal Scepter
Although theCarian Regal Scepterhas a common weapon skill, it makes up for it with its passive, which boosts all Full-Moon Sorceries by 10%. With this added passive, magic-wielding players will be able to dish out more damage by using Rennala’s Full Moon and Ranni’s Dark Moon sorceries, which already have higher than average damage scaling.
However, players will need to have at least 60 points in Intelligence if they want to use this unique Glintstone Staff. And even though other Glintstone Staves deal a little more damage than the Carian Regal Scepter, it’s undoubtedly oneofElden Ring’sbest remembrancestaves.
17Remembrance of the Naturalborn - Bastard’s Stars
Bastard’s Starsis one of thefew Flails inElden Ringthat has a decent damage output, not to mention that its unique weapon skill, Nebula, can unleash dozens of stars that explode after a few seconds.
Unfortunately, players who want to use this remembrance weapon will need to invest in Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence, which isn’t always an ideal way of spending stat points. Moreover, players will need to use Somber Smithing Stones (a rare resource inElden Ring) to upgrade Bastard’s Stars to +10.
16Remembrance Of The Omen King - Morgott’s Cursed Sword
In the 1.03 patch that FromSoftware released several weeks ago, arcane players were delighted to know that all arcane-type weapons were properly scaling with this stat. AndMorgott’s Cursed Swordhappens to be a Curved Greatsword that primarily scales with Arcane, which means that players will be able to dish out a decent amount of damage while causing a massive amount of status effects.
Moreover, every hit causes Blood Loss Build Up, which is quite useful to bleed out enemies or players slowly. But, of course, players shouldn’t rely on its status effect too much since someplayers know how to counteract its effect.
15Remembrance Of The Starscourge - Lion Greatbow
Sadly, there are only a few choices for Greatbows in most ofFromSoftware’sgames, but theLion Greatbowmakes up for it since it’s a powerful Remembrance weapon. Its base Physical Damage starts at a staggering 120 but can be upgraded to 294.
On top of that, its Unique Weapon SkillRadahn’s Rainlaunches a volley of cosmic arrows that deal a massive amount of AOE damage. In addition, this Unique Weapon Skill works wonders against theoptional boss Ulcerated Tree Spiritsince players can attack it at a safe distance.
14Remembrance Of The Regal Ancestor - Winged Greathorn
TheWinged Greathornis the perfect Greataxe for team players since its Unique Weapon SkillSoul Stiflerreduces Damage Negation from enemies, making them easier to vanquish. But, players should keep in mind that itonly reduces Damage Negation and not Elemental Resistance.
But, obtaining Remembrance of the Regal Ancestor is no easy task since players will need tolight up all Flame Pillars from Nokron, The Eternal City. Moreover, during the boss fight, the Regal Ancestor will heal itself, prolonging the battle, so players would do well in defeating it before it heals itself. Its healing mechanic makes this boss fight a bit annoying, which is why its Remembrance weapon isn’t ranked higher on the list.
