Blizzard has revealed its esports plans for the World of Warcraft (WoW) The War Within expansion. In addition to the Arena World Championship (AWC), the Mythic Dungeon International (MDI) circuit features lots of esports action. The War Within WoW MDI Season 1
Season 1 of WoW MDI for The War Within kicks off with the Time Trials phase on Oct. 16. Then, 16 teams get to enter the WoW MDI Groups phase starting Nov. 1. Only three teams from each group can advance to the WoW MDI Global Finals happening between Nov. 22 and Nov. 24. As for China, only two teams can enter the WoW MDI Global Finals.
The War Within WoW MDI schedule
Here is the schedule for The War Within WoW MDI Season 1. The games feature teams of five players from the U.S., Europe, Taiwan, and South Korea.
WoW MDI Group Stage prize pool
Each WoW MDI Group Stage tournament features a $30,000 USD prize pool. The table below breaks down the prizing per team.
