World of Warcraftis no stranger to parodies, having been parodied in countless YouTube videos, songs, and even bySouth Parkin the hilarious “Make Love, Not Warcraft Episode” from season 10. This time, the hit animated comedy series,Family Guy, who often jokes around with other video games, series, and movies, has taken a shot atWorld of Warcraft.

A snippet from Season 16 Episode 10 ofFamily Guyshows how Peter, Cleveland, and Joe come up with an elaborate plan to escape a tight situation that they are in. Cleveland makes reference to pulling a “Leroy Jenkins,” whichWorld of Warcraftfans are all too familiar with following the Leroy Jenkins video that went viral in 2005.

Below is the snippet fromFamily Guy:

Family Guycleverly parodiesthe original Leroy Jenkins video almost word-for-word when Peter comes up with an elaborate plan to attack, and even asks Joe to “crunch some numbers,” which shows that the likelihood of their survival is 42.33 percent, like the party leader in the original Leroy Jenkins video. Cleveland then yells “Leeeeerooooy Jeeenkiiiiins” and storms in, and Peter and Joe follow, telling each other to “stick to the plan.”

Family Guyeven goes as far as to change the view of the scene to 3rd person and gives Peter, Joe and Cleveland health bars like characters have inWorld of Warcraft. Additionally, the show’s presentation suddenly changes to resembleWorld of Warcraft. In the end, everyone dies, just like the original Leroy Jenkins video.

For gamers, it is always fun to see references made to our favorite games and on other platforms, as games also often incorporate references from film, such as the"Owen Wilson Wow Mod"inWorld of Warcraft.South Park,Family GuyandThe Simpsonsoften make jokes about gaming, and that is unlikely to change anytime soon. As the industry continues to grow and bleed further into the mainstream, more jokes like this are sure to appear in pop culture.

World of Warcraftis now available on PC and IOS, and thenew expansion for the game,Battle for Azeroth, will be released September 21st of this year.
